Print Questions

What kind of paper are the photos printed on?
All prints are printed on Kodak's pro line of Photography paper, Endura. The luster paper they are printed on is a combination between gloss and matte. The print is finished with a linen texture to give the image a more of a fine arts look. These are not inkjet prints, they are processed the same way as traditional film prints are.

back to questions

How does size (crop) effect Picture?
A little more or a little less of the image will be shown depending on size of the print. All images on the website have been given the same ration as an 11x14 print.

back to questions

Are these images from a digital or film camera?
These images are from a digital camera but the company that prints these images uses technology to print them by exposing them to light and processing them with chemicals just like a film print is made.

back to questions

Will the logo on the web image appear on the actual print?
The final print will not have the logo on them. This logo is on the web images to prevent people from stealing the image and to make sure that if the image is used elsewhere proper credit is given to the company.

back to questions

Will the image on the screen match the actual print?
It should be close but the colors vary from screen to screen as well as from screen to print. While the print will not reflect the web image exactly it will be close enough to not cause concern.

Framing Questions

Does the image come ready to hang?
The image will come matted, framed and ready to hang.

back to questions

Glass or Plastic?
Most frames will come with glass in them. Companies are leaning more towards producing plastic inserts for larger pictures because as the glass front gets larger the glass becomes more fragile.

back to questions

Why does the print come with a mat?
Mats serve two purposes. The firt purpose is artistic appreciation. The mat provides an element of style as well as drawing the viewers eye into the picture. The second purpose is that the mat keeps the print away from the glass or plastic in the frame. This is helpful because if the frame becomes damaged with time or you decide to use a new frame the image will not become stuck to the glass.
